Madison Ice, Inc. is hiring an enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator to help us in our overall marketing efforts. You will be an integral part of the development and execution of marketing plans to reach targets from brand awareness to product promotion within Madison Ice, Inc. This is a part-time position, 25 hours per week. The pay range is $16 to $20 per hour depending on experience.
Our marketing coordinator would be responsible for designing and executing marketing campaigns across various channels. This would include digital platforms and social media, by conducting market research, creating engaging content, analyzing data, and collaborating with our user groups and internal program directors to achieve specific marketing goals, such as brand awareness and increased sales by identifying target audiences and tailoring marketing strategies to effectively reach them.
The goal is to deliver effective marketing programs that will help our reputation and growth.
What You’ll Do
Conduct market research to find answers regarding consumer requirements, habits and trends.
· Develop engaging content for various channels like website, social media, email marketing, and blogs by working with rink staff, users, user groups, and community liaisons.
Manage social media accounts, create content calendars, and engage with followers.
Design and implement marketing campaigns across multiple platforms, including social media advertising, email marketing, and paid search.
Assist in outbound or inbound marketing activities by demonstrating expertise in various areas (content development and optimization, advertising, etc.).
Liaise with external vendors to execute promotional events and campaigns.
Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing materials.
Collaborate with marketing and other professionals to coordinate brand awareness and marketing efforts.
Develop, execute, and optimize email marketing campaigns to drive customer engagement, retention, and sales.
Create and maintain customer segmentation strategies, leveraging data to personalize messaging and improve targeting.
Monitor, analyze, and report on key email performance metrics, including open rates, click-through rates, conversions, and unsubscribe rates, to inform strategy and improve effectiveness.
Plan and execute initiatives to reach the target audience through appropriate channels (social media, e-mail, TV etc.).
Work within the community to organize events and strategic relationships.
Promote marketing opportunities within the rink to area businesses and partners.
Assist in analyzing marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future marketing strategies.
· Report regularly to the Rink Director and assist with other activities when necessary.
What You’ll Bring
Strong communication skills: Excellent writing and verbal communication abilities to craft compelling marketing copy.
Digital marketing expertise: Proficiency in various digital marketing tools like SEO, PPC, social media platforms, and email marketing platforms.
Analytical skills: Well organized, detail oriented with an ability to interpret data, analyze campaign performance, and draw actionable insights.
Web development skills: Knowledge of HTML, CSS and web development tools (e.g. Dreamweaver) desired.
Computer skills: Solid computer skills, including MS Office, marketing software (Adobe Creative Suite & CRM) and applications (Web analytics, & Google Adwords).
Creativity: Generate innovative and engaging marketing concepts to capture audience attention.
Project management skills: Effectively manage multiple marketing projects with deadlines and budgets.
Adaptability: Stay updated with evolving marketing trends and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
Interest and/or knowledge of ice related sports preferred but not required.
BSc/BA in marketing, communications or equivalent.
Working Conditions:
This position can involve sitting, standing, walking, stooping, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. Work responsibilities will be performed in a standard rink environment, however all functions named in this section could also be performed on or around an ice surface in accordance with employment in a recreational facility of which an ice rink or arena is present.
